All the details on how to set up and use the service are contained in the Stream2School (S2S) website. The basic version is - download the free S2S player, then use that to rent and launch the selected software. Each title is rented for a 4-month period, after which it will simply stop working, or you can renew the rental.

No. The S2S player is a very small program which you download only once. When you open one of your rented titles for the first time, it is cached on your machine, and is run locally from your machine every subsequent time you use it. It therefore has no impact on your bandwidth.

Anyone can use the service. When you visit Stream2School.com, you will see that there is a Parents section. This is designed for parents to rent the same software that their children are using in school in order to support them and help them with their education. The service is also being used very successfully by parents who home-school their children.

There are lots of titles in a wide range of curriculum areas. To get the full list, visit the appropriate area of the Stream2School website.

NOTE that there are also a number of open-source titles available completely free of charge - titles such as Open Office, Gimp and Audacity.
